Being the caregiver of a terminally ill person is perhaps the toughest job you'll ever take on. While rewarding and often fulfilling, the task can leaving you feeling replete. There will be times, perhaps many of them, that you will need some help. Here is a list of organizations that can help you along:
  1. Family Caregiver Alliance
    The Family Caregiver Alliance has a wealth of information for family caregivers, including tips, FAQ's, and personal stories. Also keeps caregivers up to date on public policy and current health issues.
  2. National Association for Home Care and Hospice
    The NAHCH is a trade association representing hospices and home health agencies but also offers a wealth of information for caregivers in their magazine Caring.
  3. National Alliance for Caregiving
    The National Alliance for Caregiving is a non-profit coalition of national organizations focusing on issues of family caregiving.
  4. Caregiver.com
    This is the online version of Today's Caregiver Magazine. It has articles and online support groups broken down in to channels for various conditions.
  5. About.com
    You have nearly all the information about caregiving you will ever need right here at your fingertips. Guides for various medical conditions have caregiver resources specific to your loved one illness. Just type in a key word search from the home page or browse topics on the right hand side to find the information you need fast.
