What is a Traumatic Event?
A traumatic event is one that causes moderate to severe stress reactions. Traumatic events are often result in a sense of horror, helplessness, serious injury, or the threat of serious injury or death. Traumatic Events are usually sudden, unexpected losses and/or deaths.
Survivors of sudden, traumatic events, or families and friends may find it challenging to cope with the aftermath of a traumatic event.
One of the common symptoms after experiencing a life-altering event is having difficulty with having sleep patterns disrupted and experiencing insomnia.
