Tradition of Toasting
A Toast is traditionally a drink in honor of a person or an event. Toasts are also a way of remembering those who are departed. In Ireland, home of some of the most proposed salutes, the toasts are often called "blessings."
Thus, this collection of Toasts and Blessings contain toasts, quotes and blessings that can be used for memorials, to remember those who have died and also to honor the living. These toasts could also be incorporated as part of a eulogy speech.
Many are inspiring, or moving, some are thought provoking and a few in the collection are rather humorous.

dispel the clouds of despair.

But never can again.
Leaving Indelible Imprints
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.
They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.
We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Leo Buscaglia
Shining Through The Tears
It's easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song.
But the man worth while is the one who can smile
When everything goes dead wrong.
For the test of the heart is trouble and it always comes with years.
And the smile that is worth the praises of earth
Is the smile that shines through the tears.

Toasts for Troubles, Challenges and Burdens
Troubles and Blessings
May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you wherever you go.
Troubles, Blessings and Happiness
May your troubles be less
And your blessings be more.
And nothing but happiness
Come through your door.
Challenges and Adversity
When the wind is howlin' in everyone's ears,
May you hear a soft, lilting breeze.
And if the rain is crashin' down,
May it only be dew at your knees.
If the ground 'neath your feet should quiver and shake,
I hope you'll be standin' with ease.
And never go hungry or wantin' for much;
May God grant you all that you need!
Light Burdens and Love
May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May the soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you.
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.
