Readers Respond: How Will Your Organization Honor National Hospice Month?

Responses: 1

Updated October 25, 2010

Many hospice organizations celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care Month by hosting special events and fundraisers. How will your organization honor this special month? Help readers find your event by posting a description of it here.

Becoming a Volunteer

My grandfather passed away with the help of hospice care in July. I was so impressed by the caring professionalism of the hospice staff and loved the volunteer who came to play blackjack with Grandpa once a week. I've decided to become a hospice volunteer to help others. My local hospice holds volunteer training during the month of November to celebrate National Hospice Month. I'm attending training and have even looked into getting my golden-doodle Russell certified as a pet therapy volunteer.
